The Section held it’s belated 2021 AGM in the beautiful surroundings of Silton Village Hall and grounds on a scorching Summer afternoon. After a refreshing luncheon, followed by tea and coffee and generous servings of cake. Our grateful thanks to the Ladies of the Section who kindly prepared these refreshments for the attendees to enjoy. The meeting commenced just after 2.00pm and the agenda was ably navigated through by our Chairman Ian Clarke. Apologies were received from Peter Hallowes who unfortunately couldn’t attend today. The Chairman’s, Secretary’s and Treasurer’s reports were read and unanimously accepted. Discussion took place regarding the purchase of a Section Digital Projector for the use of invited speakers invited to present talks to the Section. It’s hoped to have the Projector available for Peter Benger’s talk in August. The current officers and committee were re-elected together with the addition of Roger Gillard and Martin Goodman onto the committee. The meeting closed just before 3.00pm to be followed by more Teas and Coffees, more delicious cake and the Section raffle.
